The film production of Vanessa Nöcker and Benjamin Seikel is based in Hamburg. Nöcker comes from journalism, Seikel from fiction. Both - many years in the film business - decided to join forces in 2017 after several joint productions (including "BORIS BECKER - Der Spieler", ARD/Netflix, "DER REICHSTAG - Die Geschichte eines deutschen Hauses", ARTE/ NDR). With a select team of writers and directors, with cameramen and editors, they now jointly develop their own film and format ideas, offer direction, conception and production - mainly for the international market, for streaming platforms, public television and gladly for the big screen. The last completed productions - the documentary SCHUMACHER about the Formula 1 icon Michael Schumacher and a long-term cinema.c observation of the artst "Daniel Richter" by Oscar-winning director Pepe Danquart - have successfully asserted themselves on the market. In March 2024, they released the documentary WUNDERLAND in cinemas - the most successful cinema documentary of recent years with around 200,000 viewers.
Die Filmproduktion von Vanessa Nöcker und Benjamin Seikel sitzt in Hamburg. Nöcker kommt aus dem Journalismus, Seikel aus der Fiktion. Beide haben - viele Jahre im Filmgeschäft - 2017 nach einigen gemeinsamen Produktionen (u.a. Die letzten großen Produktionen - der Dokumentarfilm SCHUMACHER über die Formel1-Ikone Michael Schumacher und die Kino-Langzeit-Beobachtung des Künstlers „Daniel Richter“ vom oscar-prämierten Regisseur Pepe Danquart - haben sich erfolgreich im Markt behauptet. Im März 2024 brachten sie den Dokumentarfilm WUNDERLAND ins Kino - mit rund 200.000 Zuschauern die erfolgreichste Kino-Doku der letzten Jahre.

Vanessa Nöcker has been established in the documentary filmmarket for many years, producing for NDR, WDR, ARTE and ZDF. She has made major documentary films such as "Helmut Schmidt off duty" (Golden Camera), "Die Geheimdienstlegende Reinhard Gehlen" or serial documentaries such as "Traumzug durch Afrika" for ARD, "Wieder vereint!" (with Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Lothar de Maizière and Theo Waigel) or "You shall live!" (Holocaust-survivors) for ZDF, "Paolo Conte" for ARTE Ma Vie or "Peter Maffay - Deutschland Deine Künstler" for ARD. Benjamin Seikel has developed and produced major cinema and television films and looks back on a number of successful productions in the documentary film sector - including primetime documentaries for ARD like "Der Mann, der Udo Jürgens ist", "Gunter Sachs - Der Gentleman-Playboy" and "Schlagerland" or dramatized documentaries like "Berlin und Tucholsky" and "Fallada - Im Rausch des Schreibens" for ARTE. In 2017/2018 Seikel produced - at that time still for C-Film (Germany) -Margarethe von Trotta's first documentary film "Searching for Ingmar Bergman", which premiered in Cannes. In the field of fiction he 2013 coproduced the filming of the novel "Night Train to Lisbon" that became a cinematic success and 2016 he won the German Film Award in Bronze for the feature film "4 Kings". In May 2018 he celebrated his premiere with the first improvised novel adaption of "So was von da". Last he jointly realised the DEGETO-Service-Produktion "Einmal Sohn,. immer Sohn" with Markus Trebitsch. Soon after founding B|14 FILM, he screened with Nöcker at the Berlinale and before his unexpected death the co-produced documentary "Peter Lindbergh - Women's Stories".
Benjamin Seikel - Geschäftsführer | Produzent
Benjamin Seikel hat große Kino- und Fernsehfilme entwickelt und produziert und blickt auf eine Reihe erfolgreicher Produktionen im Dokumentarfilmbereich zurück - darunter Primetime-Dokus für die ARD, z.B. “Der Mann, der Udo Jürgens ist“, “Gunter Sachs – Der Gentleman-Playboy“ und “Schlagerland“ oder die Dokudramen “Berlin und Tucholsky“ und “Fallada - Im Rausch des Schreibens“ für ARTE. 2017/2018 produzierte Seikel - damals noch für die C-Film (Deutschland) - die in Cannes uraufgeführte, erste Dokumentarfilm-Produktion von Margarethe von Trotta: "Auf der Suche nach Ingmar Bergman". Im Fiction-Bereich hat er mit der Romanverfilmung “Nachtzug nach Lissabon“ 2013 einen internationalen Kinoerfolg koproduziert und 2016 den Deutschen Filmpreis in Bronze für den Spielfilm „4 Könige“ geholt. Im Mai 2018 feierte er Premiere mit der ersten improvisierten Romanadaption zu “So was von da". Zuletzt realisierte er mit Markus Trebitsch die DEGETO-Auftragsproduktion “Einmal Sohn, immer Sohn“. Gleich nach Gründung der B|14 FILM zeigte er mit Nöcker auf bei der Berlinale und noch vor dessen überraschenden Tod den co-produzierten Dokumentarfilm „Peter Lindbergh - Women’s Stories“.
Kathrin Hoffmann - Produktionsleitung
Kathrin Hoffmann absolvierte ein Studium der 'Angewandten Medienwirtschaft' an der Medienakademie in Hamburg. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss (BA) war sie viele Jahre für Produktionen der Fernsehmacher GmbH & Co. KG tätig und arbeitete unter anderem für TV-Formate wie „Markus Lanz“, „Die Küchenschlacht“ und „Menschen“. Seit April 2019 unterstützt sie das Team von Bl 14 FILM als Produktionsleiterin.

Kathrin Hoffmann studied 'Applied Media Economics' at the Media Academy in Hamburg. After successfully completing her BA, she spent many years working for productions of Fernsehmacher Gmbh & Co. KG. Mostly for formats such as "Markus Lanz", "Die Küchenschlacht" and "Menschen". Since April 2019 she is now supporting Bl 14 FILM as production manager.
